your beloved mother, will always hold a place in our hearts......Mrs skrapits personified the purest of decency and love.Her faith was her strength and she portrayed an angels countenance when she smiled. We were blessed to have known her. It is an absolute truth that she prays in Paradise for all of us, as she did on earth.We weep with all of you because the loneliness of her presence is so painful, but her spirit and intercessions for us, will be eternal. thank you,Mrs Mary Skrapits for being such a inspiration God bless you ..."Love, Marie and Bobby Melloy

Dearest Mary’s, how lucky I am to have been loved and appreciated by you! We had so many good days and I’m grateful for every single one. You are the strongest person I’ve ever known. Through everything you kept your faith strong and never spoke negatively about any one or thing. You taught me how to smile on the hardest days and that anything is possible. I love you Mary, thank you for everything. Theresa, Joey, and Jeanine I wish you strength and light through these crazy times. Thank you for letting me be a part of you guys. I’m lucky and grateful.

My sympathy goes out to you Theresa, Joey and Jeannie. Your beautiful Mother Mary had so much love and generosity in her heart. In her care for Theresa I benefited from her cooking and motherly kindness when I needed it the most. She made me smile when she would identify me in a sea of Marys as the one who eats flowers. I pray for her spiritual soul to unite with all her love ones in heaven and continue to watch over us as she had done selflessly on earth. Bless you Mary.

Dearest Theresa, Joey, and Jeannie:
We are sending you our heartfelt condolences. The photos of your mother posted on this site are lovely. It is nice to see photos of her at different points in her life. Your mother was so sweet and kind on each and every occasion we met. I loved hearing recently how she came back to the US from Hungary after WWII on a ship (I believe she said it was the Marine Tiger.) She was a gentle, Christ-loving soul and lived a life of service to her family, friends and the Church. May she rest in peace. All our love.

My aunt Mary, Mariska neni, as I called her in Hungarian was the most kind, good hearted and generous person. I’ll never forget when my family returned to Hungary in 1964 her packages were the highlights of our lives.
She was my second mother. When I returned to New York 10 years later she took me in and helped me find my first apartment.
Her whole life was about helping others. Her heart was full of love and it radiated all around her.
I will miss her dearly.
May she Rest In Peace with all her loved ones in heaven.
I’ll never forget you.
Your loving niece,
Katalin Szenasi

My Grandma, My Nana as I would her. I will always remember my Nana as a kind, caring, sweet, loving, down to earth, beautiful person. She was such a hard worker that always put others before herself. I remember ever since I was little girl all the family get togethers we would have. All the holidays. Block parties and birthdays. My Nana always would sneak me change/money in my hands. She made the best Hungarian Palacsinta, Pork and Sauerkrat and my favorite Butter Noodles with Cabbage and Onions. Absolutely Delicious! I don't think there was ever a family gathering where my Nana couldn't be found in the kitchen. She would always want to help cook or with the dishes. She wore the most beautiful dresses and her hair was usually up in a bun. Her love for family and Catholic Religion made her such a Strong Woman. She would ask me every Sunday if I went to mass. Thank you Nana for being the best Grandma and Great Grandma to Lucas, Jack and I. I can write more but will end with we will Love you forever and you will always be in our hearts. Love, Lisa, John, Lucas and Jack.

My Mother Mary has always been a huge part of my life. All who know me would know about my Mother--what she cooked, what she said, the moments I treasured with her, and the monumental presence she had in my life. You knew her if you knew me because her life was my life.
Mom was a prayerful, faithful lover of God. Her faith gave her insurmountable strength to endure and overcome painful loss and cruel hardships. She was a survivor, a soft-spoken humble woman, a hard worker and provider. I admired her strength and perseverance and her most gentle, forgiving, loving heart.
Several years ago, I asked Mom what was the most important thing she learned in life. She said, "Time goes by too fast." So true. I'll see you again one day, Mom. I love you forever, your little girl, Theresa Elizabeth

God saw you getting tired and weak;
A cure was not to be;
Numerous times he put his arms out;
And whispered, Come to Me";
You refused at first;
I have loved ones here with me.
You told us of visions of a little boy;
Our eyes filled with tears;
We knew your time here was ending;
And a new life everlasting was near;
It's ok Nana, we love you;
You fought a great fight;
The boy reached out and grabbed you;
Ascending you to Heaven;
Our Hearts are Broken;
God Has A New Angel By His Side
Love your grandson, Kenneth Michael

Gracious mom was filled with unconditional love of God and family.
Mom was dedicated to her marriage to Deri and mom, always put her children first, even before herself.
Throughout the years, mom showered us with beloved prayers and holy songs in four languages, English, Slavic, Hungarian and Latin.
Like her mother, Majka (Johanna), secured our devotion to God.
"Together Forever, Together in Heaven."
Thank you mom, for being "You."
Love always, your daughter, Johanna Jean & Ken John
