Dear Abby & Nate, I am so very sorry to hear about your mom...She was one of the kindest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing... Grand Union, and all of Larchmont, was a brighter place when Janet was around!...She was one of the favorite customers of all time....and, an incredible cook! One of the first memories I have of your Mom was one of the sweetest...She gave my husband and I the most perfect and thoughtful gift right after our daughter was born; an amazing homemade meal, complete with a roasted chicken, all the trimmings, a bottle of wine, and her specialty; peach pie...and, tapered candles, no less!....all brought right into my home....she had such generous heart. Your Mom was a great lady, who always thought of others, and always had a smile to offer....and anyone who knew her knows that’s true....she touched so many lives in so many ways...She will truly be missed. Janet was a very good friend of ours, working at a nursery school. After I(Tara) and Janet both left the school, we remained friends. She was always there when we needed her. Janet was kind, generous and a delight to be with. We will miss her and I(Tara) will miss Janet calling me 'kiddo'! She made a difference in our lives - and the world! Tara and Ursula
